June Two for One Kitten Adoption Special

June 2018

June is National Adopt a Cat Month, and it’s probably no coincidence since June is smack dab in the middle of kitten season, the time of year when most female cats are having kittens, many of which will end up in shelters.  Every year during kitten season CAPA takes in numerous unwanted and abandoned kittens and this year is no exception.  we currently have several kittens in our care who are in need of forever homes so we decided to celebrate Adopt a Cat Month by offering a two for one kitten adoption special.  Not only do we want to find homes for all of our kittens but we also know that kittens are happier and more content when they get adopted with one or more kittens.  If you spend any time around kittens you will know that they love to snuggle and play together and not only that, they also learn from one another. When one kitten learns to use a litter box or eat dry food, the other kitten will be curious and then mimic their mates behavior.  Kittens love to play and with a kitten friend they can play even when you’re not home.  This helps the kittens burn energy and keeps them happy and content and prevents them from feeling lonely.

Throughout June CAPA will allow a single home to adopt two kittens for one adoption fee of $65.  If the kittens are not old enough to be spayed/neutered the adopter must sign a sterilization agreement and will be given a spay/neuter deadline.  If the adopter takes the kittens to a Comanche vet clinic, either Comanche County Vet Clinic or Conway’s Vet Clinic, the adopter will not have to pay any additional fees for the spay/neuter and rabies vaccination.  If the adopter chooses to take the kittens to another vet for their spay/neuter, CAPA will reimburse the adoption fee once we have received the confirmation of sterilization forms from the vet but will not be responsible for any additional vet fees.
